Chelsea confident on Paul Pogba, John Stones moves; Illarramendi to Spurs?

TOP STORY: Blues confident on Pogba, Stones deals

Everton manager Roberto Martinez has insisted that John Stones is not for sale
Are Chelsea actually going to pull off one of the shocks of the summer and signPaul Pogba? The Independent reports that there is a real chance of the Premier League champions landing the Juventus midfielder this summer, with Jose Mourinho "convinced" he can persuade the Serie A giants to sell "as long as the transfer fee is right."

And despite Roberto Martinez's efforts to keep John Stones out of Mourinho's clutches, sources told ESPN FC that the Everton centre-back handed in a transfer request on Tuesday in an attempt to force a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Guardian reports that Chelsea are readying a final £40 million offer in the wake of Stones' formal request, while the Daily Star suggests that Everton are under "real pressure" having believed the England international would not push for a summer exit.
With Chelsea lacking a strong spine so far this season, Stones and Pogba would certainly boost Mourinho's squad in the defence of their title -- but with the duo valued at well over a combined £100m, success won't come cheap.
