John Stones warned his England chances may take a hit if he signs for Chelsea

England under-21's manager Gareth Southgate has warned John Stones over his potential move to Chelsea.

The Everton defender has handed in a formal transfer request at his current club and is expected to join Jose Mourinho's side before the transfer window closes.

However, Southgate believes Stones could be harming his England chances if he moves to Chelsea and fails to play first-team football on a regular basis.
